Islamabad: (Lord Media) Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry informed the National Assembly that the suicide bomber in the Tarlai attack was a resident of Peshawar, trained by India in Afghanistan.
During the National Assembly session, a prayer was offered for the martyrs of the Tarlai bombing, led by JUI’s Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri. The routine agenda was suspended to discuss the incident.
The federal minister stated that the attacker fired at guards and entered the mosque, detonating himself, resulting in the death of 33 worshippers, mostly young, and injuring over 150 people. Among the injured were the cousin and uncle of Islamabad’s IG.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry revealed that the attacker, identified as Yasir Khan, was apprehended by Nowshera CTD, which also arrested four terrorists. He claimed that despite efforts by intelligence agencies to prevent incidents, India trained the attacker in Afghanistan, implicating India’s involvement in the attack.
