Multan Sultans Sold for Record PSL Price

Lahore: (Lord Media) Multan Sultans became the most expensive team in Pakistan Super League history, sold for 2.45 billion PKR at an auction held in Lahore. Five bidders participated in the event.

Walee Technologies secured the team with the highest bid, acquiring rights for 10 years. The team’s name has been changed to Rawalpindi.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized the auction after former owner Ali Tareen declined to renew the contract. Previously, two new PSL franchises, Hyderabad and Sialkot, were auctioned for 1.75 billion and 1.85 billion PKR, respectively.
