Pakistan sets 169-run target against Australia in T20

Lahore: (Lord Media) Pakistan set a target of 169 runs for Australia in the first T20 match of the series. After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first and scored 168 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Saim Ayub scored 40 runs, while Salman Agha contributed 39 runs. Australian bowler Adam Zampa took 4 wickets.

The Pakistani team includes Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz. Shaheen Afridi, Salman Mirza, and Abrar Ahmed are also part of the squad.

Australia is led by Travis Head, with Josh Inglis, Mitchell Marsh, and Marcus Stoinis absent. Mahli Behrendorff, Jack Edwards, and Matthew Renshaw are making their T20 debuts.

Captain Salman Agha stated that the pitch is favorable for batting and various options are available. The second and third T20 matches are scheduled for January 31 and February 1.
